Wie is Dj jurney ? 

Dj Jurney, is geboren en getogen in Foxhol met invloeden diep in de Dance Groove, maar ook andere invloeden zoals disco, funk en swingbeat. Buiten het DJ'en om, is Jurney ook nog bezig als producer. Verder kun je Jurney altijd wakker maken voor een spaghetti a la mama, chocola met hazelnoot, broodje hamburgers of saté a la Lesnoesa 
Hoe is het ooit begonnen ? 
Eind '70 jaren is Jurney begonnen met het maken van (re)mixen. Na enige mixen begon hij meer geïnteresseerd te raken in de groove stijl. Daaruit kwamen de eerste DJ Jurney groove mixen genaamd; "The Pitch". Uit deze mix is alles steeds geavanceerder en kwalitatief beter geworden. 
Tegenwoordig houdt hij zich vooral schuil achter zijn draaitafels / cd spelers of trouwe pc uitgerust met een ongezonde hoeveelheid samples en muziek programma's. Van Cubase, Wavelab, Pro Tools tot aan Nuendo. Nadat Jurney de groovescene achter zich had gelaten en zich steeds meer op de live performance ging richten, veranderde ook de muziekstijl naar club, trance & house, fusion , dance-classics en vette funk grooves . Sinds deze tijd heeft Jurney in grote discotheken en clubs door heel Nederland opgetreden en al meer dan 10 jaar vaste DJ in Le Barrage in Groningen. 

Toekomst: 

Wat betreft de toekomst is nooit iets zeker, maar de planning is om meer en in grote clubs te blijven draaien en wellicht misschien weer resident DJ. Als producer blijft Jurney ook aan de weg timmeren, zo komen er binnen kort de APCSRadio.com mix series uit. 

Live Stijl: 

Elke feest heeft zo zijn eigen stijl en het is juist de kunst om als DJ daarop in te spelen. Met zowel platen als Cd’s draait Jurney een mix van old-skool, dance-classics en fusion voor het begin van de avond, tot uplifting club, trance voor laat op de avond. De visie achter het draaien wat andere DJ's niet draaien, zodat het publiek old-skool, dance-classics en de nieuwe tracks hoort om zo altijd een vernieuwend en vertrouwd geluid te geven. Op verzoek kan er verder van alles gedraaid worden, van soul tot trance en club muziek.

DJ Jurney, born and raised at Foxhol got inspirited by influences deep into the Dance Groove. But also got stocked with many other musical influences too, like Disco, Funk and Swingbeat. Besides being a DJ, I’m working as a Producer. You may always wake him up for some “Spaghetti a La Mamma”, Chocolate with hazelnut, Hamburgers or “Satay a La Lenoesa” 

When did it start? 

At the end of the ‘70’s Jurney started to make his own (re)mixes. After producing some mixes he started to get more interested in “the Groove Style”. The first Jurney mixes where born and called “The Pitch”. After those mixes his work became more advanced and guaranteed a high quality level. After leaving behind the Groovy scene his specialty became being a DJ in front of a live audience which also changed his preferences of music styles like, Club, Trance/House, Fusion, Dance Classics and Cool Funky Grooves. Ever since Jurney was a DJ in many known Discotheques and Clubs throughout The Netherlands. For more then 10 years now, he is also the main DJ at “La Barrage” at Groningen. 
Now-a-days he keeps hisself busy behind the pick-up/cd player or faithful Personal Computer system equip with an unhealthy quantity of samples and music programs like, Cubase, Wavelab, Pro Tools, Nuendo. 
The Future? 
About the future we know nothing is sure, but he is planned to keep on playing the music at the some various large Clubs and you never know as a resident DJ. He is also available as a producer, he is busy doing the APCSRadio.com Mix Series. 

Life Style? 

Now every party has his own style and it is a gift of the DJ to play with the audience. With aswell vinyl records as with CDs, Jurney plays a mix of the Old-skool, Dance Classics en the hottest newest tracks. “That’s how you keep the sound Fresh and Known”. On request he plays the song you like to hear! No matter what he has it, from Soul to Trance to Club Music.
